Artane Electric is owned and operated by Shay O’Reilly, a Master Electrician with three decades of experience in Ireland and Canada.
Established in 2012 we proudly serve the homes and businesses of the west end GTA. We strive to provide our clients with the best customer satisfaction for the best professional price. We are a company that believes in moving with the times through constant training, awareness of our clients’ needs and always updating and educating ourselves with the ever changing improvements in the electrical industry.
Welcome! My name is Shay O’Reilly. I am a Master Electrician and the proud owner of Artane Electric. I am also a husband and a doting dad of three fantastic kids.
Artane Electric is named after my hometown of Artane, Dublin in Ireland. My goal is to bring the same warmth and hard work of Artane to the homes and businesses of the west GTA.
I served my apprenticeship in Ireland and gained invaluable experience in the residential, commercial and industrial electrical fields that were expanding rapidly in the Celtic Tiger boom of the 90’s in Ireland. An eagerness to travel and see the world led me away from the emerald shores and took me throughout Europe, New Zealand, United States and Australia (where I met my Canadian wife) and finally Canada where I settled. I am now based in Campbellville, ON, home of the beautiful escarpment and Bruce Trail.
As a qualified electrician I quickly immersed myself in the trade in Toronto where I re-qualified as a Construction and Maintenance Electrician to meet the Ontario standards. After working in the GTA for a number of years in residential and commercial projects I qualified as a Master Electrician and started Artane Electric in 2012.
Now with my own company I work hand-in-hand with all of my clients throughout the entire lifecycle of their projects – big and small. I deliver a best-in-class customer experience and tailor each job to meet all your electrical needs.

Our Green Initiative
Artane Electric is one of the few electrical companies in Ontario with a green initiative structure set in place. We recycle and safely dispose of all packaging, old electrical fixtures, wire and waste in partnership with the Waste Division of Ontario.
From the latest in LED lighting technology to energy saving wiring techniques and practices we lead the way in reducing our carbon footprint in the workplace. All our quotes and invoicing is done through email and we have constant advice and updates of our company through social medial forums, such as Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, thus reducing our paper and ink demand.
